Pediatric Travel Nurse Jobs
Pediatric registered nurses (RNs) have a passion for working with children and their families. In a travel position, these individuals can combine this passion with a love of adventure, serving others in healthcare settings across the United States.

Pediatric Nurse Job Qualifications
Pediatric nursing is a challenging yet gratifying profession — if you already have experience in this field, you know this firsthand. That's why we ask that you have one or two years of experience in the pediatrics field before applying to be a travel nurse. Those first years in a pediatric unit can help you build skills and confidence in your abilities before traveling and make getting acclimated to new places easier in the future.
Trustaff also requests that you have an active license or certification in the state where you want to work. This can make the transition much easier for you and your new employer. Overall, we look for an enthusiastic sense of adventure with a desire to help young children and their families.

Pediatric Nurse Job Description
As a pediatric travel nurse, you will play a key role in many children's lives. Whether you are in a dedicated pediatric hospital or another child healthcare facility, you may come in contact with several diseases, illnesses, surgical procedures or cancers. Your most important responsibility in this role is to serve as an advocate for your patients — especially those who cannot speak for themselves.
While each day can look different, your general skills in pediatric nursing will be vital during every shift, even when you change locations. Some tasks you will be responsible for include:
Monitor patients and their vital signs
Assist doctors or nurse practitioners with pediatric procedures
Administer proper medications, IV lines and more
Update charts regularly
Stay in close communication with all members of the care team
