Why do you love working with Fastaff?
Fastaff has been a great company to work for, they treat you as you should treat others.
What do you love about nursing?
It is great being able to go into a new facility and assist the Operating Room in its growth and to see the fruits of the team’s labor.
What makes travel nursing rewarding for you?
The autonomy that is possible is like no other career in nursing, hands down.
What has been your most challenging Fastaff assignment (a difficult case, surgery, patient illness, etc.) and how did you feel that impacted your worth as a nurse afterwards?
Any challenge while on assignment should be viewed as an opportunity to grow. With every bit that you grow, you become a stronger nurse and a more well-round individual. As we have all dealt with Covid-19 in the last few months and ongoing, having my career in the OR gave me new challenges to face as I had to transition from a field I knew, to an all new type of patient care.
Describe a time where you felt more valuable/respected because of the experience and knowledge you gained from your Fastaff assignment.
Being with Fastaff has allowed me to further my knowledge and experience by being exposed to areas of this country that I would not have otherwise and because of that, I have been able to bring ideas forward that might have been overlooked.
Describe the most miraculous or impressive thing you’ve witnessed or been a part of during your time as a nurse with Fastaff.
Seeing hospitals shut down due to Covid-19 and realizing you are not only the patient’s life-line, but because of safety concerns you are also their only connection to the outside world and even their means of communicating to their family. It really becomes an emotionally surreal moment.
How have you accomplished some of your personal and professional goals by traveling with Fastaff (i.e. family life, financial freedom, more personal freedom, etc.)?
Since working with Fastaff I have been able to accomplish things financially that I would have never been able to otherwise, it is such a change in your life, demeanor, and mental-well-being when you are compensated for what you feel your true worth is. Because of Fastaff with my extra time (Not that I have much!) I have been able to start talking about travel nursing.
